I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 7 and in 2021 I will be a year 8. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.
today I will be talking about an Orchestra and what they do, the instruments they play, etc. There are many types of instruments included in an Orchestra but they have families! The one who controls the timing of the instruments is called a Conductor the Conductor controls when someone has to play or not, they use a type of stick that helps them give hand gestures to them. An Orchestra is a type of genre that is very classical and makes a beautiful melody.
The family of instruments:
Woodwind
They are instruments you can play by blowing into it or across it. The name is basically from the reality that they were made out of wood, the materials today are now plastic or metal
Brass
How they work is that the user of the brass instrument uses their lips to make a vibration for the instrument to work. They are mostly metal.
String
How this Instrument works is you play the strings on the instrument and they vibrate and make a sound. They are all made out of wood expect for the harp.
Percussion
Percussion instruments are either hit, shaken or scraped all of them have different materials.
